Karambit Knife

The Karambit Knife is one of the world’s best known knives. It was used by the people of East Java in early 20th century as an agricultural knife. The name was selected to commemorate the bravery of East Java men during the years when it was part of the Indonesian Empire. The name was later changed to Karambit after the Second World War.

This knife is the perfect choice for everyday carry or travel. There are many reasons for its popularity and this article will elaborate on some of these reasons. The major reason for the popularity of the karambit knife is its distinctive curved blade which has the ability to slice through just about anything. It does not matter what you use it for, you can be sure that the knife will cut through it with no problems. The design is such that you can carry it without fear even if you have to go through a jungles or some other terrain. The blade is so small that it is nearly impossible to conceal without any noticeable change in the way you carry the knife.

The origins of this simple yet effective knife go back to early times. The karambit knife first came into use around 200 years ago. They were primarily used by Indonesian tribesmen as weapons to hunt down and kill tigers. In the modern version they are primarily used for cutting through different types of vegetation. They are made from a single, thin, strong blade that does not resemble a tiger’s claw.

This characteristic makes them ideal for fighting. The single, thin blade is also ideal for quick strikes and as protection from a number of attacks. The simple design of the karambit knife allows the user to quickly draw it. The thumb ring makes it easy to hold onto and does not interfere with other items on your hand. If you ever need to defend yourself from an opponent then you will find the single blade an excellent solution for your needs.

The reason that the karambit knife has become such a popular item over the years is because it is designed with comfort in mind. The traditional handle was straight and did not have a safety ring or grip. The curved blade could be easily slipped over the grip. This meant that you were forced to hold onto the knife tightly which could cause discomfort and was often a safety concern when fighting.

These problems were addressed by the Karambit Company and they developed the Karambit safety ring. The safety ring is located on the back of the knife and is an expandable rubber ring that fits into the hole drilled into the handle of the knife. This provides an ergonomic fit to the user and prevents the user from gripping the handle too tightly. Because of this design the knife is much safer to hold because there is no danger of the blade jumping or slipping out of the grip. The whole design of the Karambit also ensures that you get a great cut with it. The curved blade is very effective when cutting through medium to thick materials.

The Karambit has found a place in many martial arts schools, as well as military, law enforcement and farming tool sets. Many of these users have reported that the ergonomics of the karambit knife make holding it a lot more comfortable than other multi-bladed hand held cutting tools. It’s easy to hold and it cuts much better than most other multi-bladed tools. Many karambit knives are made with an eight inch handle to make it ideal for many applications.

Even though the Karambit is not as strong as its older brother the Wakizashi, it is still a formidable weapon when used correctly. The old-school karambit would also go great in a tactical situation and in close hand combat. Even though the blade is one of the strongest on the market, it should be sharpened often so that it is effective when used as directed. By keeping your karambit knife sharp, you can use it effectively for years to come.
