Eight Steps to Strip Wire or Cable

A wire or cable stripper is essentially a common household tool which cuts off an existing insulation layer of any wire or cable. In fact, a very common method to create a direct hit on the insulation is by utilizing a knife or a set of sharp-nosed pliers as well as a set of needle nose plier. The strippers are equipped with an adaptor to allow it to work with different varieties of wiring, and the adaptor increases its versatility by allowing it to work in an almost endless range of motion. To ensure that the strippers will not cause damage to your insulation, always follow the manufacturers instructions.

Here’s how it works: Firstly, clamp the front of the first clamp handle part onto the wire or cable you are planning to strip. Slide this front towards the rear of the first clamp handle part, but be sure that the cable does not contact the steel surface at the end of the wire or cable body. Ensure that the cable does not touch the metal at the end of the wire or cable body, because if it does, it will cause the insulation to become distorted. Ensure that the wire or cable does not touch the metal at the end of the first clamp handle part, because if it does, it will cause the insulation to become distorted. If possible, avoid touching the metal at the end of the wire or cable body.

The second step involves positioning the cutting piece so that it can also be slightly angled depending on the wire or cable that is being stripped. The third step is done once the wire or cable has been aligned with the different kinds of wire or cable in the first step. In this embodiment, a blade type mechanism is also included. A straight-line guide is provided so that the wire or cable can be properly oriented. This guide is also placed on the metal at the end of the cutting piece, so that the wire or cable can be appropriately oriented.

Step four involves rotating the wire and cable stripper in the direction of the spiral pattern in the illustration. The wire or cable is also positioned appropriately with respect to the metal at the end of the strip. The fourth step involves cutting the wire or cable at the end of the strip by means of the wire or cable stripper. After that, it is necessary to feed the strip through the wire feeder. The fifth step involves feeding the cable or wire through the feeder again, so that it is cut at the appropriate place.

Step five involves positioning the cutting piece at the appropriate place. It is also possible to use a hand weight at the suitable location to assist in aligning the wire or cable correctly. After that, the wire or cable is placed into the cut-off channel of the stripper. This also allows the wire or cable to be properly aligned.

Step six involves cutting the wire or cable into desired shapes. The preferred shapes are flat cut, which makes it easier to handle; cylindrical cut, which gives more detailed design; and hexagonal cut, which provides for different kinds of connections. After the cutting operation is complete, the wire or cable can be cleaned by wiping it with a damp cloth. This also helps in removing excess glue and other contaminants from the wire or cable, as well as from the application surface.

Step seven includesarming the wire or cable with a clamp. A spring clip or clamp is used in this step. In this embodiment, two different kinds of wire or cable can be stripped; the first kind for regular use and the second kind for use in an alternate manner. After the arming is complete, the wire or cable can be slid through a slit in the metal, called a kickout. This process requires that the wire or cable is placed in the slit at an angle that faces the Stripper’s arm.

Step eight includes feeding the wire or cable through the slit and engaging the cable or wire at the kickout. It also requires that the wire or cable be fed through the slit at an angle that faces the Stripper’s arm. This process is called cutting the wire or cable after Feeding. After the process of cutting the wire or cable is complete, the wire or cable can be twisted back onto the non-stripped side of the feed mechanism. The final step involves removing the feed mechanism from the device.
